A body kit or bodykit is a collection of exterior modifications to a car, typically composed of front and rear bumpers, side skirts, spoilers and other aerodynamic accessories. There are many companies that offer alternatives to the original factory appearance of the vehicle and we carry the top name brands in the industry. Body kit components are designed to complement each other and work together as a complete design but can also be mixed and matched to create a totally unique look. Automotive body kits are usually constructed of either fiberglass, polyurethane or in some cases carbon fiber. Fiberglass is cheap and widely available due to the low cost of production, although it can crack upon impact. Fiberglass body kits are repairable when they do get nicked up where urethane and carbon fiber aerodynamics are much less fixable. Polyurethane is popular because it is flexible and extremely durable thus more resistant to damage but the available selection is very limited due to a very high cost of production. Carbon fiber body kits are rare, due to the cost of the materials, and are rarely seen on street vehicles and more often used for motorsports.
